Abstract

In June 2022, Central Java experienced inflation of 0.85 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 111.32. Of the six CPI cities in Central Java, all cities experienced inflation.
The main cause of inflation in Central Java in June 2022 is the increase in the prices of red chilies, cayenne peppers, shallots, air transportation and purebred chicken eggs. The main barrier to inflation in Central Java is a decrease in the prices of cooking oil, purebred chicken, garlic, inter-city transportation and laptops/notebooks.
The inflation rate for the calendar year June 2022 is 3.75 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (June 2022 to June 2021) is 4.97 percent.
