Abstract

"In May 2022, Central Java experienced inflation of 0.58 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 110.38. Of the six CPI cities in Central Java, all cities experienced inflation"
"The main cause of inflation in Central Java in May 2022 is the increase in the price of air transportation, purebred chicken eggs, shallots, red chilies and oily pastries. The main barrier to inflation in Central Java is the decrease in the prices of cooking oil, gold jewelry, wet shrimp, rice, and young jackfruit."
"The inflation rate for the May 2022 calendar year is 2.87 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (May 2022 against May 2021) is 3.91 percent."
