Abstract

The total workforce in February 2022 was 20.76 million people, an increase of 1.93 million people compared to February 2021. With the Labor Force Participation Rate increasing by 2.65 percentage points, to 72.04 percent.
The open unemployment rate for February 2022 was 5.75 percent, down 0.21 percentage points compared to February 2021.
The working population was 19.57 million people, an increase of 1.86 million people. The largest percentage increase was in the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Sector (0.79 percentage points). The sectors that experienced the largest decline were Wholesale and Retail Trade, Car Repair and Maintenance, Motorbikes (-0.80 percentage points).
