Abstract

Central Java's economy in the first quarter of 2022 based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product at current prices reached IDR 375,951.52 billion and at constant prices in 2010 it reached IDR 257,706.70 billion.
Positive Growth in the Central Java Economy in the First Quarter of 2022 (y-on-y) was 5.16 percent. This quarter's achievement was higher than the first quarter of 2021 which experienced a contraction of -0.55 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Transportation and Warehousing business sector, namely 51.13 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the highest increase was recorded by the Goods and Services Export Component (including Inter-Regional Exports), namely 10.33 percent.
Compared to performance in Quarter IV-2021, Central Java's economy in Quarter I-2022 grew by 1.75 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Transportation and Warehousing business sector which grew by 36.99 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the component that experienced the highest increase occurred in the Goods and Services Export Component (including Inter-Regional Exports) amounting to 7.45 percent.
