Pekalongan District BPS Conducts Productivity Measurement Tasting with Cropping Vs Combine Harvester

Thursday, May 1, 2025, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Pekalongan District held a mock test of productivity measurement with ubinan vs combine harvester in Sumurjomblangbogo Village, Bojong District. This sampling test was only conducted in 5 districts in Central Java, one of which was Pekalongan District. This activity is part of the effort to obtain accurate data on productivity results in the Pekalongan Regency area.

The activity was attended by the Head of Pekalongan District BPS, the Head of Pekalongan District BPS Agricultural Statistics Team, and permanent partners. Also present was the Agricultural Extension Coordinator from the Pekalongan District Food Security and Agriculture Office (DKPP). In its implementation, the survey measured crop yields on selected plots using the conventional ubinan method, then compared the yields with a combine harvester. This was done to determine the level of accuracy of productivity results.

Through this activity, BPS Pekalongan Regency hopes to strengthen a valid and representative agricultural statistics database, in order to support data-based agricultural development policies that are more focused and targeted.
