The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Pekalongan Regency is currently conducting a socialization activity for the 2020 Population Census at the OPD level throughout Pekalongan Regency.
The event entitled "2020 Population Census Coordination Meeting with the Regional Organization of Pekalongan Regency" was held at the Marlin Wiradesa hotel.
On this occasion Siti Mardiyah as the Head of BPS in Pekalongan Regency quoted a little about the President's state address on August 16, 2019 namely "Data is a new type of wealth for our nation, now data is more valuable than oil prices", Siti Mardiyah also said that the data produced by The Population Census is very useful for development in various fields.
Therefore the important role of DPOs throughout Pekalongan Regency is expected to help disseminate SP2020 information and educate the surrounding community about the importance of participating in the implementation of SP2020. After participating in this event, it is expected that each OPD conducts internalization and appeals to all employees in each scope of work of the concerned OPD to consciously and actively register themselves and their families in the 2020 Population Census.
